On Campus - January 2019 Preview

Wednesday, January 16

The Hudson Valley InfoSec Group will host a meeting at 5:30pm in Rockefeller Hall, Room 300. The meeting, which is open to the public, is a community gathering for those in the Hudson Valley who work in information security or information technology, or who are interested in cybersecurity.

Friday, January 18

The women’s basketball team will play Union College at 5:00pm in the Athletics and Fitness Center gym. The men’s basketball team will follow with a game against Union College at 7:00pm.

Saturday, January 19

The women’s basketball team will play Bard at 2:00pm in the Athletics and Fitness Center gym. The men’s basketball team will follow with a game against Bard at 4:00pm. The men’s and women’s squash team will host the Vassar Round Robin III at 10:00am Saturday and Sunday, January 19 and 20, at the Kenyon Hall squash courts.

Sunday, January 20

The men’s and women’s fencing team will host the Vassar Invitational beginning at 10:00am in the Walker Field House. The invitational will include teams from Cleveland State University, University of Detroit Mercy, and Drew University.

Wednesday, January 23

The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will compete against Montclair State at 5:30pm at the Kresge Pool.

Friday, January 25

The women’s basketball team will play St. Lawrence University at 5:00pm in the Athletics and Fitness Center gym. The men’s team will follow with a game against St. Lawrence at 7:00pm.

Saturday, January 26

The women’s basketball team will play Clarkson University at 2:00pm in the Athletics and Fitness Center gym. The men’s team will follow with a game against Clarkson University at 4:00pm.

Monday, January 28

The Food Security Conference, which includes a panel on global health, will take place at 7:00pm in Rockefeller Hall, Room 300.

Tuesday, January 29

A discussion, “Design and Critical Disability Studies,” will take place at 5:30pm in Taylor Hall, Room 203. The event will include Spring 2019 Tatlock Fellow of Multidisciplinary Studies Sara Hendren of Olin College of Engineering.

The men’s and women’s squash team will play Hamilton College at 6:00pm at the Kenyon Hall squash courts.

Thursday, January 31

The 17th annual Modfest opening reception will take place at 6:30 pm at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center and will include a performance by the Vassar College Women’s Chorus.
