On Campus - August 2018 Preview

Thursday, August 9

Crispijn de Passe the Younger, Dutch, ca. 1597–1670, from the Master Class exhibition.

Master Class: Northern European Art 15001700 from the Permanent Collection will be on display at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center through September 2. The exhibition will include the works of Dürer, Cranach, Joos van Cleve, Lucas van Leyden, Rembrandt, and Jan Lievens and is organized in honor of the 43-year-long teaching career of Susan Donahue Kuretsky, Professor of Art on the Sarah Gibson Blanding Chair.

Reflections: Portrayals of and by African Americans will be on display in the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center’s Focus Gallery through August 19. On display are select works, from the 19th through the 21st century, by African American artists from Vassar’s permanent collection.

Wednesday, August 22

The women’s soccer team will scrimmage with the University of Bridgeport at 3:00pm at the Prentiss Sports Complex. The men’s soccer team will scrimmage with Sage College of Albany at 5:00pm at the Prentiss Sports Complex.

Saturday, August 25

The women’s field hockey team will play William Paterson University at 1:00pm at the Prentiss Sports Complex.

Monday, August 27

Move-In Day

Move-In Day will begin at 9:00am, as residential houses open for new students.

Friday, August 31

The women’s field hockey team will play Manhattanville College at 4:00pm at the Prentiss Sports Complex. The women’s soccer team will play SUNY New Paltz at 4:00pm at the Prentiss Sports Complex. The men’s and women’s cross country teams’ Season Starter will take place at 6:30pm at the Vassar Farm.
