Alumnae/i Movies Shine at the Vassar FilmFest

It was a full house at the 13th annual Vassar FilmFest, which brought alumnae/i filmmakers to the nation’s capital on October 14. Founded by the Vassar Club of Washington, D.C., the festival included an afternoon of screenings, a panel discussion with filmmakers, and a reception.

The red carpet feature film was Being Charlie, co-written by Matt Elisofon ’13 and Nick Reiner and directed by Rob Reiner.

Other films included Wedlocked, produced, created, and acted by Christine Moore ’07; Mother of the Week, featuring the music of Robert Kessler ’77; Ways to Land, created by Victoria Youngblood ’16 and Nora Kaye ’16; and two student films, Aspic by Soraya Perry ’17 and Searchers, directed, edited, and filmed by Bryce Daniel ’17.
