Have you heard of the night market phenomenon? It originated in Asia and is particularly common in Taiwan where every major city has its night market, usually an open-air market where socializing and sampling the specialties of the various food vendors are at least as important, if not more, than shopping. The trend is spreading to other parts of the world—including the Vassar campus! Organized by the Asian Students’ Alliance, the Night Market at Vassar brings together student organizations representing a wide range of identity groups for a night of food, fun, and celebration.
