Former Dean of Faculty Nancy Schrom Dye '69 is Remembered

Nancy Schrom Dye '69

Former Oberlin College President Nancy Schrom Dye ’69 was memorialized in several articles following her recent passing. She served as Vassar’s dean of the faculty as well as acting president during a year of sabbatical leave for President Frances Daly Fergusson. After leaving Oberlin, Dye served as the first vice chancellor of the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh and later as vice provost of United Arab Emirates University, where she established a residential college for women.

Read her obituary here and look for a tribute in the winter issue of VQ.
