Looking Machines, an exhibition featuring sculptures, wall reliefs, and works on paper by J. Pindyck Miller, will be on view in the James W. Palmer III Gallery, College Center, through December 23.
The Environmental Studies Program presents a lecture by Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason at 5:30 pm in the Taylor Hall 203 Auditorium. His non-fiction book Dreamland deals with many issues in modern Iceland, including environmentalism.
Tuesday, December 2
Imperial Augsburg: Renaissance Prints and Drawings, 1475-1540, a collection of prints, drawings, illustrated books, medals, and armor from the German city of Augsburg, will be displayed at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center through December 14. The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art.
Friday, December 5
The Vassar College Jazz Ensemble will perform at 8 pm at the Mary Anna Fox Martel Recital Hall, Skinner Hall.
The men’s and women’s squash teams will play Tufts University at 6:30 pm at the Kenyon Hall Squash Courts.
Saturday, December 6
The women’s basketball team will play Stevens Institute of Technology at 3 pm at the Athletics and Fitness Center.
The Vassar College Orchestra will perform at 8 pm at the Mary Anna Fox Martel Recital Hall, Skinner Hall.
Sunday, December 7
The Religious and Spiritual Life Office will present Vassar College’s annual Service of Lessons and Carols at 7 pm in the Chapel.
Saturday, December 13
The Mahagonny Ensemble will perform at 4 pm at the Mary Anna Fox Martel Recital Hall, Skinner Hall.
Tuesday, December 30
The women’s basketball team will play Hartwick College at 7 pm at the Athletics and Fitness Center.
